Bluebird Bird house that is made from a PVC post. The bird house is manufactured from a PVC post with a PVC lid. The lid is easily removed by twisting the lid to the side so that the house can be cleaned out between broods. This birdhouse has drainage holes in the bottom and has a hole in the back so that it can be attached to a tree or post with a screw. I decorated the bird house in shades of blue glass by mosaicking stained glass, recycled glass tiles, and glass gems onto the birdhouse with silicone and then grouted with sanded grout. The birdhouse is designed to withstand the weather. It is 10 inches high by 5 inches wide by 5 inches deep.

This bird house is designed to be a home for small birds such as Blue birds, chickadees, or Carolina Wrens. The hole is the size preferred by these birds. I attached the glass gems around the hole so that the Squirrels and bigger birds cannot get into the birdhouse to disrupt the nesting or hurt the babies. Bluebirds like to have their nests on a tree or post overlooking a grassy area or field so that they can see their predators. After the baby birds have left the nest, twist the lid to the side and remove the lid to easily clean out the old nest. This prevents the danger of spreading germs and diseases from one nest of babies to the next one. Your birds will thank you for the great design of this house and you will appreciate the beauty of the house plus the beauty of the birds that will nest in it.
