Your birdhouse is custom made (not from a kit), and is a functioning house specifically suited to Wrens and Finches, though other species may enjoy it. The size of the entry hole is intentional, as is the exclusion of a post or perch to reduce the likelihood of predation. The top of the box opens for ease of cleaning. The house is made from pine, painted, sealed with a UV Resistant clear coat, then silicone is applied to any cracks that may take on water. The top is sealed to prevent water from running into the nest, but the sides have cracks that allow heat to escape. There are drainage holes in the bottom of the nest. It comes with mounting instructions and hardware. It is designed to be mounted on a post or hung from a tree or post.

The nestbox is roughly 8.5" x 8.5" x 9 H". Weight varies with complexity and materials used.
